Mode of action
 
Varanadi Kashayam and Rasna act as anti-inflammatory agents through Prostaglandin suppression
Drakshadi kashayam and Brahmi act on the 5 HT Receptors responsible for the local vaso-dilatation.
 
Brahmi increases your serotonin levels, a brain chemical known to promote relaxation. Also improves the transmission of impulses between nerve cells in your brain. The neurobiological effects of these isolated molecules were found to increase protein kinase activity and new protein synthesis. It is also found to be beneficial for treating emotional disturbances, mental imbalances. It also cures and prevents geriatric mental problems like Alzheimer disease and amnesia. Bacopa is also used for making brain tonics.
 
Pluchea lacneolata- Rasna is one of the most esteemed herb recommended for the nervous system, specially of the nerves.
Rasna effectively reduces inflammation and pain associated to nerve damage.

Dosage
Prophylaxis : 2 tablets two times daily for 4 weeks
Maintenance : 2 tablets only in nights
Acute attacks : 2 tablets three times daily.
 
Vishatinduka Vati
It is an Ancient Ayurvedic formulation and is especially useful in trigeminal neuralgia. It relieves the sharp, shooting pain along the face and jaws caused due to the disorder. It also relieves the tingling and numbness along the path of the trigeminal nerve.
 
Ingredients:
Shuddha Kupilu (Strychnos nux-vomic) – 125mgs.
Maricha (Piper nigrum) – 125mgs.
Dosage: Two pills, two times in a day after meals.
 
Precaution:  Vishatinduk (Nux vomica) need to be taken after consulting a Ayurvedic doctor.
